Course Description

This course on network fundamentals and advanced networking concepts covers a broad range of topics starting from the basics of networking to more advanced topics like VLAN configuration, spanning tree protocols (STP), routing, and network security.

The first section introduces you to the basic functions of a network, IP configurations, and network fundamentals, including IP parameters, MAC addresses, and different network topologies. In subsequent sections, the course covers switch management, VLAN configuration, Layer 2 discovery, spanning tree protocols (PVST), and EtherChannel configuration for network redundancy and stability.

The course also dives deep into routing basics, static and dynamic routing (OSPFv2), redundancy protocols, and the use of NAT (Network Address Translation). Other key areas include network services such as NTP, DHCP, DNS, and syslog features, followed by in-depth coverage of network protocols, security fundamentals, VPNs, QoS (Quality of Service), IPv6, and subnetting. Towards the end, the course addresses wireless architectures and the fundamentals of automation and programmability using Python and JSON.

It concludes with practical exercises and a final exam to ensure a comprehensive understanding of networking concepts and their applications in real-world scenarios.
